Scale A.I Rolls out Two New Generative AI Platforms

I always have my ears to the ground when it comes to A.I. news and announcements. After all, I have three Newsletters (actually more, but that’s another story) to cover all of this stuff.

So today on May 10th, 2023, Scale AI introduced their two new Generative AI platforms – Scale Donovan and Scale EGP – to unlock the power of AI for every industry, from the U.S. government to the Fortune 500.

Donovan is the first large language model (LLM) deployed to a U.S. government classified network. Built to achieve AI overmatch, Donovan is a decision-making platform already being used by warfighters on the ground - including the XVIII Airborne Corps and the Marine Corps University School of Advanced Warfighting. Today, Scale Donovan is ingesting thousands of orders, situation reports, and intelligence reports, to help operators, analysts, and decision-makers understand, plan, and act in minutes instead of weeks.

Scale Enterprise Generative AI Platform (EGP) is a full-stack platform that brings our capabilities to enterprises everywhere. Customers like Fox Corporation and Koch Industries are deploying EGP to tackle their toughest challenges and move rapidly from experimentation to implementation. EGP allows every enterprise to develop and deploy Generative AI applications within Scale’s infrastructure or in their own virtual private cloud, so proprietary data never has to leave customers’ environments.

I have some rather controversial opinions on all of this and what is happening. As impressive as these new platforms are, the red flags are going off.
