Canva and Runway Partnership has Serious AI-Design Potential
Canva is becoming a work suite of AI and tools of greater value.
Friends,
I track AI startups and AI announcements of the partnership variety and I have to admit, this one has some pretty serious synergy. I anticipate Canva will go public in 2024 and will have a tremendous ability to acquire some of these GEnerative A.I. startups at the intersection of design and work productivity suites. Canva, Notion and Zoom are all taking on the likes of Google Sheets and Microsoft.
Canva however has a lot of momentum. Runway is one of the more creative Generative A.I. startups when it comes to video editing and production.
This is all about Canva’s Magic Studio
Canva is more than just the Australian online graphic design and multimedia company we know it to be, it is a serious frontrunner in productivity tools for workers. Though its best known for design, what might it evolve into?
Magic Studio makes Design Fun with AI Powered Solutions
As part of its 10th birthday celebrations, web-based design platform Canva is releasing Magic Studio — a new suite of AI-powered design tools that aim to make content creation more accessible to everyone, regardless of previous design experience.
So What?
Canva’s Runway integration will generate up to 18 seconds of video based on what the user provided. In the case of text, the video will be generated based on the words provided. In the case of a still image, the image will be used as the basis of the video and motion and camera movement applied.
This collaboration brings Runway’s cutting-edge Gen-2 AI technology directly into Canva’s ecosystem, making it accessible to Canva’s extensive user base of 150 million monthly users worldwide.
