Anthropic Collaboration with Robin AI in Legal AI
⚖️ Legal Generative AI Copilots having a breakout year in 2024.
Hey Everyone,
While OpenAI funds the AI startup Harvey, with their newest funding round it appears Robin AI is using Anthropic. As someone who is obsessed with AI startups, this is very interesting to me.
Legal co-pilot Robin AI is using Claude on Amazon Bedrock to reduce the time it takes to finalize and sign contracts—making the process up to 10X faster.
The Rise of Legal Copilots
They chose Claude for its reliability, accuracy across long documents and low hallucination rates. Robin AI is based in London, UK. Robin’s AI contract copilot is used by hundreds of businesses globally to harness the power of generative AI for legal. So they empower legal teams and lawyers to make contract processes effortless. The company says they believe in a world where law moves at the speed of business. They are backed by Google, Episode 1, Plural and Forward Partners.
Robin AI recently (January, 2024) snapped $26 million in a Series B funding round led by Temasek, a Singaporean investor who previously invested in Zilingo and Stripe. I’m pretty bullish about copilts empowering and enhancing the productivity of white collar professionals like lawyers, scientists, physicians, academics and bankers in general. BloombergGPT for example, is an implementation I consider very useful.
Robin AI is not a startup we’ve heard a lot about. The Series B round comes just 10 months after its previous $10.5 million Series A round. So this means that Harvey AI’s success in funding is likely leading to some momentum in the legal industry adopting Generative AI capabilities.
Anthropic made a little video of their work with Robin AI which I found interesting.
